Robertson has featured strongly for Edinburgh this season

Edinburgh will be without Mark Robertson and Ryan Grant for four weeks as both players need groin operations.

Robertson has been a regular on the wing for Edinburgh this term, after suffering the same injury last season.

Edinburgh head physiotherapist TJ Johansson said: "Both Mark and Ryan will have operations to repair lower abdominal injuries.

"We felt the timing was right for the operations to take place and we expect them to back in about a month's time."

Last season's injury meant Robertson's debut for the club was delayed until the final day of the campaign.

This term, the Scotland A international started the first 11 matches - contributing four tries.

But the 24-year-old has experienced a recurrence of the problem which forced him to miss the Boxing Day clash with Glasgow.
