Edinburgh head coach Andy Robinson had to settle for a draw against Ospreys in his first game in charge in the Magners League at Murrayfield.
Shaun Connor and Phil Godman traded penalties before Argentine prop Augusto Allori scored Edinburgh's only try, with Godman converting.
A 25-metre Godman penalty put Edinburgh 10 points in front at half-time.
But Ospreys' Jonny Vaughton crossed the line, Andrew Bishop converted and then slotted a penalty to tie the match.

Former England coach Robinson will be disappointed his side failed to capitalise on a 10-point advantage at the interval.
Edinburgh began the second half in impressive fashion, but the Ospreys defence held firm as they staved off a string of attacks.
Having prevented Edinburgh from adding to their lead, the Welsh side raised their game with Gavin Henson testing the home markers on several occasions.
After drawing level, the visitors spurned an opportunity to snatch a victory in the dying seconds when Bishop's penalty attempt drifted just wide of the post.
