Williams returns to face Ireland in Cardiff on Saturday

Wales flanker Martyn Williams has signed a Cardiff Blues contract extension to allow him to play at the 2011 World Cup, it has been reported.

The reports say Williams' Blues contract will run until May 2011 at which point the Welsh Rugby Union will employ him to the end of the World Cup.

The 33-year-old returns to win his 88th Welsh cap against Ireland in the Six Nations decider on Saturday.

He will be 36 years old when the 2011 World Cup takes place in New Zealand.
