Bath confirm exit of 11 players

New Zealander Joe Maddock has scored 11 tries for Bath this term

Australian flanker Julian Salvi and New Zealand wing Joe Maddock are among 11 players leaving Bath this summer.

Salvi (ACT Brumbies), Maddock (Treviso), Michael Stephenson (Leeds), Rob Hawkins (Leicester) and Nicky Little (Bristol) are all moving on.

The out-of-contract Ryan Davis, Mike Baxter, Daniel Browne, Matt Spelman and Rhys Crane are also departing.

Scrum-half Scott Bemand is retiring from rugby at the age of 30 to run his family's farm.

Bath chief executive Nick Blofeld said: "In the modern professional era there is a lot more movement between clubs.

"But it is always with a heavy heart when you have to say goodbye to players who have served the club so loyally and so well during their time here."
