Davis is in favour of some of the other new ELVs

Bath defence coach Brad Davis has insisted that the experimental law variations could be good for rugby.

The ELVs - particularly at breakdown areas - are currently causing confusion over their interpretation.

"I think that some have had a really positive influence on the game," said the former Super League star.

"Where it will benefit Bath will be the quick line out and being able to carry that out to the back three - we have explosive players in that department."
