Neil McMillan misses Friday's opener with an ankle injury |
Ulster Flanker Neil McMillan is the only casualty prior to Friday's opening friendly against Orrell at Ravenhill.
McMillan, who was last season's Irish rugby players' Young Player of the Year, injured his ankle during warm-weather training in Durban last week.
However, McMillan's absence will be made up with the Ireland squad members being made available for the game against the English National Division One side.
However, while David Humphreys's leg injury is no more than bruising, it could be that he will sit out the game.
With Ronan O'Gara still recovering from a fractured scaphoid, and a question mark over Paul Burke, Humphreys could be needed for the remaining games against Italy and Scotland.
Prop Simon Best is another who may be required to rest after a tough Lansdowne road baptism at the weekend.
However, Gary Longwell, Jonathan Bell, Paul Shields and Tyrone Howe could all start. Still undergoing rehabilitation are James Topping (groin) and Neil Doak (shoulder).
Ulster coach Alan Solomons will announce his team at Tuesday lunchtime and it is expected that he will include a number of old and new recruits.
Orrell will prepare for the Ulster test with a game against Dungannon at Stevenson Park on Tuesday evening.
It will be Jeremy Davidson's first game in charge of the Tyrone side following his enforced retirement from the playing side (1930BST).
Davidson, however, will be without some of his talented youngsters who are involved in the Ulster under-21 tour in England at present.
Meanwhile, London Irish will include new signings Phil Murphy from Perpignan and Nick Greenstock in their 34-man travelling party on their short tour to Ireland.
Murphy, capped 14 times for Canada, may miss the forthcoming World Cup after being left out of the preliminary panel by coach Dave Clark,
The Exiles face Connacht in Galway on 26 August, before facing Ulster at Ravenhill three days later.
