Relying on the internet to keep up with the tour. keep up the good work! To Anthony Lewis (Durham) - Towcester RFC are just up the road. Bound to have the game on! Great bunch of blokes as well.
1529 BST: Michael, Reading
To Angus in London, four years ago in the first Test you supported a starting line up (selected by the then Welsh coach!) that contained eight English, three Welsh, three Irish and a lone Scot. Not much different this time. The tour hasn't been ruined it's just got more exiting! Support your team and enjoy the game.

The forecast doesn't look great for Saturday with rain and single-digit temperatures on the agenda. The kind of conditions where the old 'up the jumper' style of play may be the order of the day and suit the tourists down to the ground.
1401 BST: Simon Williams, Cardiff
A crowd of us will be attending a mate's wedding in Todmorden on the day of the final Test. I know many others have posted something similar, but if anyone knows a pub that is showing the match, please let it be known.
1334 BST: Garry Gregson, Auckland
Is it old fashioned to think that the Lions is about more than 'win at all cost'?. Isn't the true spirit and purpose of the Lions to be something more significant for the game than that? Building unity of peoples at home through rugby and taking this spirit to settlements large and small across the southern hemisphere? A unique blend of sporting prowess, international ambassadors and travelling circus! On this tour that spirit and history and been squeezed beneath the ego of one man. It's apparent here in NZ and from this blog, at home too. That's sad for the image of the Lions. But now it's onto the 'Big Top' in Christchurch. Will the Lions be roaring or jumping through Henry's hoops? Roll up, roll up...it's the best show in town".
1244 BST: Richard, Stroud
I am concerned with the 22 rather than the selected 15 to start the Test. I would prefer to see more impact players like Sheridan and Williams. However, the side is selected and we must get behind the Lions. What other rugby event is able to unite a Bath fan with a Glawster shed head on a Saturday morning in deepest darkest cider country. I shall be watching with my Cherry and White cousin roaring the boys on. I'll even forgive him for taking away Tindall if we win...
1212 BST: Anuj, London
I am a bit disappointed about Jerry Guscott's comments. The first Test will be a 'nervy' affair. You can bet that the ABs will also be tense. Plus, they have not had a great deal of game time. Winning the first Test will give the winners an immense platform from which to build. As such, don't think that an expansive game is the order of the day. So, if the Lions win by putting it up their jumpers and kicking goals, then I will be ecstatic. A win is a win.
1141 BST: Michael E, London
Remember 1997? A player picked out of position because his goal kicking was too good to leave out won the Lions the series. For Wilkinson 2005, read Jenkins 1997.

For those revellers who can manage to get up early, or for those who have not yet gone to bed, the big screen at this year's Glastonbury Festival will be showing the first Test on Saturday.
1048 BST: Jonathan, Windsor, England
Fair enough, things have been a bit uninspiring so far but the Tests are what it is all about and Woodward is focusing on that. Comments such as those from Robert in Dubai are very disappointing. Just get behind the team that is out there and stop being negative. I'll have your tickets if you don't want to go!
1047 BST: Paul, Belfast
Going to Glasgow for a wedding this weekend. Anyone know any city-centre pub showing the game?
1023 BST: Alistair Campbell, writing in the New Zealand Herald
There is no doubt that parts of (the New Zealand) media see their job as supporting the New Zealand side rather than covering the tour objectively. This does not go for everyone. Indeed the reason I chose to offer this article to the Herald is because, by and large, they have given rounded coverage of the tour. I read in a Christchurch paper that our hotels are "fenced off" and players surrounded by "cordons". I've read it practically everywhere we've been. I can only imagine those who write it have never been to the hotels or seen a player. 1011 BST: Anthony Lewis, Durham
I am going to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on the weekend of the final Test and need somewhere to watch the match, does anyone know of somewhere close to watch the boys clinch their third victory?
0942 BST: Robert Norton, Dubai
Having planned and paid for the trip to New Zealand for the Lions Test matches I no longer feel like going to support the team. Sir Clive Woodward may as well have selected the English national team for the tour and forget the Celtic nations. His selection process is a joke! Maybe he assistant coaches and staff need to stand up to him and be counted.
0912 BST: Barry, Sydney, Australia
I am an Englishman living in Sydney. Can't wait to watch the match at the Town Hall pub in Balmain on Saturday, it will be a great atmosphere. All those doubting Woodward's selection of Wilkinson should remember two things. In defence he is pound for pound one of the hardest hitting players in the world. Also in attack remember his audacious chip kick, chase and try against the AB's at Twickers a couple of years ago. He can also kick a bit!
0849 BST: Andy, Whangarei, NZ
Disappointed not to be able to get tickets for any of the games, but hope to see some Lions supporters up this way before or after the Auckland Test. Think it's going to be a great game Saturday and just want to get behind the Lions rather than whingeing about the selection.
0801 BST: Mark, Auckland
Auckland is getting ready to welcome the Lions fans. The Barmy Army HQ in the Viaduct Harbour opens Saturday in time for the first Test. Eden Park is sold out for both games. With 20,000 Lions fans on the way to Auckland for the last week of the tour. Let's hope it's still all to play for come 9 July, with one big red party to finish.

The highest points scorer in All Blacks history, Andrew Mehrtens, has played his last game for his beloved Canterbury province. He bowed out with 12 points as Canterbury defended the Ranfurly Shield with a 67-3 thumping of Marlborough. In the 13,000 crowd who showed up for the afternoon kick-off was a large contingent of All Blacks, there to witness the last playing day, on New Zealand shores at least, of a legend. Mehrtens had a word of warning for New Zealanders who believe the All Blacks will hardly need to break sweat to take the first Test: "It's going to be a game of territory (the first Test in Christchurch) and it's going to be either dewy or rainy. They know how to get those big mincers up front going forward and it's going to be a massive test for the All Blacks." Somehow I don't think the Lions forwards will take kindly to being called 'mincers'.
0634 BST: David Goldsmith, Auckland
Usually if I sense an All Black loss coming, the anxiety levels would have risen by now. Remarkably calm however.
0630 BST: David, Conwy, Wales
I vehemently disagree with SCW's selection at back row, 12 and 11, and with implied playing style. But I will suspend disbelief, roar on the Lions , and hope for a miracle.
0534 BST: Rob, Singapore
I can just imagine Sir Clive Woodward's first Southampton XI!! Shilton, Pearce, Adams, Keown, Winterburn, Wilkins, Robson, Barnes, Beardsley, Platt, Lineker; 100% English and based on reputation from a few years ago. Bound to work.
0455 BST: BBC Sport
A Welsh Lions fan, disgusted at the team selected for the first Test, has burnt his shirt and is selling the ashes on eBay. 0211 BST: Scottie, Englishman in Oz, Melbourne
Undercover Kiwi.... mate, you are a muppet! The Kiwi press and SOME of the public are going the same as the Ozzies during the World Cup. Jonny voodoo doll, throw darts at his cut out. Just enjoy the game.
0121 BST: Dave Carroll, Christchurch
I'm an England fan who arrived in Christchurch on Wednesday. On our first evening exploration we passed an Italian cafe and was gobsmacked to see that it had the full Lions squad inside it. Got to chat to O'Driscoll who was charming and all this talk of a split squad is rubbish - they were VERY together last night.
