Saracens' Castaignede has won 43 French caps

France have recalled Saracens back Thomas Castaignede after an absence of two years for the match against Australia on 5 November.

The 30-year-old, who has 43 caps, is named in a 22-man squad for the first of France's November internationals.

Two other English-based players, Sale hooker Sebastien Bruno and London Irish flanker Olivier Magne, are included.

Coach Bernard Laporte has recalled Lionel Nallet and Thomas Lievremont but Dimitri Yachvili has been dropped.

Backs: Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, Frederic Michalak, Yann Delaigue, Thomas Castaignede, Yannick Jauzion, Florian Fritz, Cedric Heymans, Aurelien Rougerie, Julien Laharrague.
