Robinson eyes Leicester comeback
Jason Robinson
Robinson was captaining England in Jonny Wilkinson's absence
Jason Robinson was discharged from hospital on Friday after surgery to repair his damaged thumb ligament.

The injury has forced the England captain out for four weeks and he will miss the rest of the Six Nations.

The 30-year-old Sale Sharks full-back is looking to make his return in the Zurich Premiership match away at the Leicester Tigers on 9 April.

Martin Corry will captain the England team in their final two matches against Italy and Scotland.

Robinson's injury, picked up in England's defeat against Ireland last month, was another in a long line for the World Champions.

Already missing from the squad are Jonny Wilkinson, MikeTindall, Will Greenwood, Julian White and Phil Vickery.

And the team were dealt a further blow when Ben Cohen suffered a fractured cheekbone during the Tsunami benefit match between the Northern and Southern Hemisphere at Twickenham on Saturday.

England play Italy at Twickenham on Saturday 12 March, and Scotland at Twickenham on Saturday 19 March.
