England woes compounded by Noon
Jamie Noon in action for Newcastle
England suffered an injury scare when Newcastle centre Jamie Noon limped off in the first half at Saracens.

The Falcons centre, who is in line for a first RBS Six Nations start against Wales on 5 February, was hurt in a heavy tackle in the 28th minute.

"He's got a dead leg and we won't know how bad it is for another 48 hours," said Falcons coach Rob Andrew.

"We got him off pretty much straight away and that's one of the important things. I think he'll be fine."

Noon, 25, clutched his left thigh before receiving extensive treatment and did not reappear after the break.

His loss would be another blow to England coach Andy Robinson, who is desperately short of midfield options.

Robinson is already without Jonny Wilkinson, Mike Tindall, Stuart Abbott and Will Greenwood, while Mike Catt has been left out of England's plans.
