76 mins: Smith slices through Otago's heart once more. He fails to get the ball off in the tackle but Jones is the man to scoop up and force a penalty moments later. Smith, though, is now receiving treatment. O'Gara misses the kick.

68 mins: CONVERTED TRY Otago 19-30 Lions
Jones, who's having a sensational game, takes a quick tap penalty and bullocks through the first two lines of Otago defenders. The ball is quickly recycled. He gets the ball out of the tackle. Greenwood, Smith and Murphy then show quick hands before Murphy flicks in to Shane Williams. He sidesteps before cruising under the post for five points. Hodgson adds two more.
65 mins: PENALTY Otago 19-23 Lions
Carl Hoeft comes in from the side. Hodgson steps up to the oche to take the Lions' lead back to four.
64 mins: Thompson, with plenty to prove for a Test place, loses his first lineout throw but it brings a scrum as Otago knock it on.
62 mins: PENALTY Otago 19-20 Lions After a quiet spell, Otago spring back to life. It leaves the Lions scrambling in their wake and a penalty ensues. Evans provides the three points once again. That brings all change for the Lions - Steve Thompson, Andrew Sheridan, Danny Grewcock and Matt Dawson on for Bulloch, Rowntree, Shaw and Cusiter
60 mins: Smith spears through for his first break, which opens space for his outside runners. Sadly it fails to come to fruition when Murphy knocks on again. In his defence, he was crunched at the time of receving the pass.
57 mins: Some sublime, slick passing nearly sends Murphy on his way. Cusiter, Hodgson, Greenwood and Shane Williams all combine nicely until Murphy fails to gather the final pass.

Martyn Williams brings Evans down with a whack to the neck. He is very lucky to dodge a sin-binning. Evans can consider himself a marked man - he's been felled in that fashion three times in the game already. Evans seals another penalty in reply.
43 mins: The tourists are going for everything now. They charge down a kick and win a lineout in two of the first moves of this half.
41 mins: The Lions get the game going once more.
HALF-TIME
40 mins: CONVERTED TRY Otago 13-13 Lions
Bulloch, Shane Williams and Hodgson all play their part in a telling break - the last of the half. It produces a penalty. Hodgson dummies to go for touch but hoofs it across the field to Greenwood, who gathers for a try. The Lions centre is then landed on heavily by Brew, which results in a mini-fracas. Hodgson converts to level the scores on the stroke of half-time.
37 mins: The try seems to have left the Lions in slight disarray. Hodgson's latest up and under is merely watched by his team-mates. No one bothers to go for it.
34 mins: CONVERTED TRY Otago 13-6 Lions
Danny Lee picks up a try - a tad against the run of play. Neil Brew looks a little shocked with the ease with which he skips through Denis Hickie's attempted tackle. Moments later, Hodgson bounces off him with his attempted tackle and Brew then sends Lee sailing through. Evans compounds the pain with the conversion.
32 mins: A series of high kicks finally comes to an end when Glen Horton decides to run with the ball... much to the relief of the crowd.
29 mins: Will Greenwood and Hodgson are within a whisker of breaking off the shackles of their Otago defenders. But the ball fails to stick in Hodgson's hands.
27 mins: Evans, who's proving a handful for the Lions, again picks the perfect angle of running. For now, though, he is contained. But it merely launches the next raft of attacks.
25 mins: Gordon D'Arcy ruins a fine attacking move by booting the ball straight into touch. A sniping run by the other Gordon on the field, Bulloch, had just preceded it.
22 mins: PENALTY Otago 6-6 Lions
The Lions win a hook against the head. It leaves Otago in disarray and they concede another place kick. Hodgson levels.
20 mins: Martyn Williams rips possession off Otago in a maul. He breaks clear, produces the sort of chip and chase any fly-half would have been proud of. Sadly, his pace is not enough to outfox the opposition and the move comes to an end. Another fine move follows seconds later, which is capped by a stunning flip pass from Murphy to Shane Williams.
18 mins: PENALTY Otago 6-3 Lions
Charlie Hodgson cuts the deficit to three points after his forwards win themselves a penalty with a raft of pressure.
17 mins: Donncha O'Callaghan almost breaks completely clear with his retake from the restart. But he just knocks it on at the last minute. Still, it launches a spate of impressive Lions attacks.

There's a flurry of boos from the crowd when Ryan Jones fells Evans round the neck. It leads to another penalty. This time he makes no mistake.

4 mins: Matt Stevens concedes a penalty in the first scrum but Evans fails to find touch with the resulting kick.
2 mins: The first slip-up of the night... and it's an Otago one. Nick Evans produces a diabolical and seemingly impossible knock-on from nothing.
0810 BST: It's game on as Otago kick the match into action.
0809 BST: It's a woeful couple of anthems to be honest. The New Zealand national anthem starts without the microphone working for the guest singer. When it finally does kick in, it leads to a sarcastic roar from the Lions contingent in the crowd.
0807 BST: It's songtime as the Lions anthem - the Power for Four - is belted out by the night's guest singer. It hardly seems to be inspiring the tourists to song, though.
0805 BST: Craig Newby calls on the crowd for their support as the Otago captain and his side jog onto the field to a chorus of quite average music blaring out of the stadium's speakers.
