Mallinder given U21 coaching role
Former Sale boss Jim Mallinder has been appointed England Under-21 coach.

Mallinder, currently at the RFU's national academy, will lead England's defence of the Six Nations U21 title, which they won with a Grand Slam.

Ex-Bath and England lock Nigel Redman will remain as assistant coach, with Pete Drewett staying as team manager.

Meanwhile, World Cup winner Dorian West has joined the England U19 set-up. The former Leicester and England hooker will assist Tosh Askew.

England finished fourth in this year's IRB U19 World Cup, when they beat Australia for the first time at that level.
