Sale have released coach Jim Mallinder to allow him to join Brian Ashton at the RFU's restructured England Academy. Mallinder has seen his influence wane at Sharks since Philippe Saint-Andre's arrival as director of rugby, and he coached England A in the Churchill Cup.
"Having been part of the England set-up, when the chance came to join them full time it was an opportunity that was too good to refuse," he said.
Worcester's Academy coach Nigel Redman is also joining the England set-up.
Mallinder has been with Sale for 15 years as a player and coach.
Sharks chairman Brian Kennedy added: "Sale have an excellent relationship with England and have always been supportive with the release of both players and coaching staff.
"We are reluctant to let Jim go, but it would not be fair to stand in anyone's way when their country calls them."
RFU performance director Chris Spice said: "I'm delighted that we have secured the services of two of England's best coaches for the National Academy.
"Jim has proved what he can achieve through his work with the Churchill Cup squads over the last two years and at Sale Sharks.
"Nigel played a major role in the England Under-21 team's success when they won the Grand Slam for the first time this year."
Mallinder will be based at the new Academy at Bath University, which under the charge of Brian Ashton will prepare junior and intermediate players for Sir Clive Woodward's England squad.
