Friday handed Sevens role
Mike Friday has been named as the new coach to the England Sevens team in succession to Joe Lydon, who is to become an assistant to Clive Woodward.

Friday, a former scrum half for London Wasps, has been assistant to Lydon on a part-time basis since 2002.

Both men will be involved in selecting the England sides for the remainder of the IRB World Sevens series.

"I am very excited about taking on the role and honoured to follow in the footsteps of Joe Lydon," Friday said.
