Iain Balshaw impressed for England |
England A 55-20 JapanFull-back Iain Balshaw ran in two tries and set up a third as England A outclassed Japan in Tokyo on Sunday.
The victory sealed a two-match clean sweep for the tourists, who also recently claimed the inaugural Churchill Cup in Canada.
Michael Worsley grabbed the games' opening try when he rumbled across the line after just nine minutes and England never looked back.
The crowd briefly came to life in the first half when the Cherry Blossoms narrowed the gap to 17-10, following a mazy run by number eight Hideki Saito. But Japan never got any closer and they continually struggled to contain a pacy England backline, led by Balshaw.
The full-back scored two tries, including a 90-metre interception in the second half, and showed off his range of skills with a kick ahead that allowed prop Will Green to touch down.
Japan have never beaten England, losing all eight of their matches dating back to 1971.
