New Zealand coach John Mitchell has made four changes - all in the forwards - to his side to face France in Christchurch on Saturday. Richie McCaw, outstanding in the defeat to England, is restored at openside flanker in place of Marty Holah, after being left on the bench for the 55-3 drubbing of Wales.
Mitchell has also recalled the front row he fielded against England, with former captain Anton Oliver back at hooker alongside Canterbury props Greg Somerville and Dave Hewett.
That trio replace Keven Mealamu, Kees Meeuws and Carl Hoeft respectively, with the first two dropping to the bench and Hoeft missing out altogether.
Mitchell keeps faith with the backline that helped rack up eight tries against Wales, with Mils Muliaina retained at full-back in the injury-enforced absence of Leon MacDonald. Meanwhile, France have called Montferrand fly-half Gerald Merceron to New Zealand after losing Thomas Castaignede and Yannick Delaigue to injuries.
Coach Bernard Laporte is expected to finalise his line-up on Wednesday.
