Sidoli ready for Scots backlash
Robert Sidoli
Sidoli says Wales are searching for consistency
Wales' new second-row star Robert Sidoli knows what the under-fire Scotland side is currently experiencing - and fears it bodes ill for Wales' chances in the Murrayfield showdown.

Having lost both their opening Six Nations matches and failed to score a try, Scotland find themselves facing the sort of criticism endured by Wales after their humiliating loss to Italy.

Wales responded with a gritty display against England in Cardiff, Sidoli leading the aggressive home pack, and he expects the Scots to come out firing in Murrayfield.

"They'll have an edge, a lot of fight in the build-up," he said.

"Many will see us as favourites and that's always difficult, but we can't use it as an excuse at international level."

After winning the man-of-the-match award when lined up against an England second row including Martin Johnson and Ben Kay, Sidoli may face the formidable Scott Murray in Murrayfield.

His dropping from the Scotland squad was a surprise, but he was brought back in after an injury to Martin Leslie. Sidoli expects a tough challenge from the feared Scotland line out, no matter who is selected.

"They've got some exceptional second rows and whoever they pick will do a job," he said.

The squad has been deep into fitness training under the guidance of Andrew Hore this week, but Sidoli knows the importance of keeping the aggression in their game.

"We want to be consistent, but that's never easy in sport."
