Wales' fans were relieved to come away from the Millennium Stadium with a respectable, competitive performance, but man-of-the-match Robert Sidoli was a disappointed man. The Pontypridd lock was a tower in the Wales line out, claiming plentiful possession for the home team and stealing opposition ball, as well as finding the energy to make an impact in the loose.
But Sidoli could only think of the opportunities that got away. "We have to start winning these games," he said, "we're disappointed."

"Italy was a big wake-up call, but we had an excellent build-up week. "We wanted to give the supporters the rugby we know we can play.

Returning captain Jonathan Humphreys also harked on the key moment before half-time when Mark Taylor failed to supply a certain try-scoring chance.
