The rugby league convert has been troubled all season by a degenerative shoulder problem that needs surgery. The 26-year-old considered going under the knife last month but will now wait until after Australia's four-test tour of Argentina, Ireland, England and Italy. "(Wallaby coach) Eddie (Jones) wants to try a few things on that (four-test) tour so I really need to be part of that," Rogers said. "We talked about it and if I got the surgery done as soon as I came back (from South Africa) I might have been cutting it fine because it could take anywhere from four to eight weeks to recover." Rogers, , who has yet to start a Test after making six appearances as a substitute, said he expected to be back from his operation in time for next year's Super 12 series. | See also: 11 Sep 02 | International 11 Sep 02 | International 10 Sep 02 | International Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top International stories now: Links to more International stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
