Tune stokes Tri-Nations fire
Ben Tune is confident Australia can triumph
Ben Tune is confident Australia can triumph
Australia winger Ben Tune has turned up the heat, ahead of Australia's remaining Tri-Nations fixtures.

Tune declared himself unimpressed with the skills on display during New Zealand's victory over South Africa on Saturday.

And he said he felt confident that Australia could retain their title.

"We weren't overly impressed by the skill level of the teams," Tune said in an interview broadcast on Australian TV.

"There's nothing there that surprised us or is making us particularly worried.

"We realise that if we play to the best of our ability we can beat both those teams."

The 41-20 victory by the All Blacks, where they scored five tries to South Africa's two, puts them in a dominant position after their 12-6 win over the Wallabies in Christchurch on 13 July.

Australia host South Africa in Brisbane on 27 July, before the All Blacks face the Wallabies in Sydney on 3 August.

Winger Stirling Mortlock, who injured his shoulder in the first half in Christchurch, trained with the Australia squad in camp at Coffs Harbour, north of Sydney, on Saturday.

Mortlock appears set to retain his place in the starting side when coach Eddie Jones names his team on Wednesday.
