Siblings head for South Africa
Fereti Tuilagi is the oldest of Samoa's three Tuilagi brothers.

The three Tuilagi brothers have been picked for Samoa's upcoming tour of South Africa which includes a Test against the Springboks.

Fereti, Henry and Alesana Tuilagi made Samoan rugby history last week by appearing in the same Test side against Fiji.

"The Tuilagi family can be very proud of their three sons for creating rugby history," coach John Boe said after the brothers all played in the win over Fiji.

Fereti's career includes a spell in rugby league with Halifax and St Helens before he returned to rugby union in 2000 with Leicester Tigers.

Alesana made his debut against Fiji in place of regular winger Brian Lima, who was out injured.

Emerged

The youngest brother, Henry, the biggest of the three, made his debut against Tonga at number eight this month.

The two younger siblings are only a handful of players picked from the local club scene, although Alesana is an established national sevens player.

Like Fereti, both emerged from one of Samoa's main rugby factories, Marist St. Joseph's club.

Another product of that club, utillity back Aleki Toleafoa, has also made the squad for South Africa.

Sevens stars Ponali Tapelu and Maurie Fa'asavalu also won places in the touring squad after strong displays in the national trials.

After the Test in South Africa, Samoa travel to Nelspruit to play the Pumas on 10 July, then Free State at Bloemfontein on 13 July.
