Gordon Ross kicked two first-half penalties to give the tourists a 6-3 lead at the interval in British Colombia. Mike Danskin replied with a lone effort for the home side.
Danskin levelled matters in the 52nd minute before Ross restored Scotland's lead with his third penalty. Prop Allen Jacobsen finally gave Scotland some breathing space in the 71st minute when he crashed over from close quarters for the game's only try. Ross missed the conversion, however, and Danskin ensured there would be a few late nerves when he fired over a drop goal in injury time. A crowd of 3,500 fans saw Scotland claim their third win on tour at Centennial Stadium in Victoria, with a Test against Canada coming up in Vancouver on Saturday. | See also: 08 Jun 02 | International 06 Jun 02 | International 06 Jun 02 | International 01 Jun 02 | International Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top International stories now: Links to more International stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
