Wasps effectively booked their place in the third round of the Parker Pen Challenge Cup with a six-try demolition of Bordeaux-Begles.

Simon Mason collected 17 points to give former club Newcastle a mountain to climb in next week's second leg.

Harlequins have an even tougher struggle in the second leg of their tie against Stade Francais after being outclassed 26-0 at The Stoop.
