Saracens' pack were dominant throughout but the champions managed only three first-half points
Saracens made it two wins from three with an uninspiring victory over plucky Premiership newcomers Worcester.
Sarries' forwards dominated the first half but an Andy Goode drop-goal and penalty put the visitors ahead.
Charlie Hodgson brought the score level after the break before David Strettle finished brilliantly in the corner.
Brad Barritt then appeared to have been stopped short of the line for his try, converted by Hodgson, which proved enough to secure Saracens' victory.
Saracens had only themselves to blame for their slender three-point return in the first half.
The champions produced plenty of phases but despite their faultless line-out play, recurrent handling errors undid their momentum.
In a niggly half, with both front rows snapping at each other, it was Errie Claassens's fine break that set up the field position for Goode's drop-goal.
Warriors' Chris Jones was lucky to stay on after taking Schalk Brits out off the ball but the visitors held firm.
Worcester mauled to within metres of the Sarries line just before the break and Goode kicked the resulting penalty to give them an unlikely lead.
Hodgson remedied his earlier miss after the interval following a good break from Strettle but soon Brits was carried from the field in a neck brace following a collision with Chris Fortey.
Strettle got outside Marcel Garvey on the touchline to finish a great Saracens move after several phases but Hodgson could not land the conversion.
Barritt stayed strong on his switch and appeared to be stopped short of the line but referee Llyr Apgeraint-Roberts gave the try without consulting the video.
Hodgson converted to give the hosts a comfortable 12-point lead.
The visitors rallied, and Joe Carlisle narrowly missed with a 50m penalty attempt, but Sarries ultimately closed out the game with ease.
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall:
"It's frustrating because Worcester came down here to scrap and fight and credit to them.
"But they had 14 men in defence with one behind and, while we played some good rugby during the first half, we found them very difficult to break down.
"I thought Charlie Hodgson did very well on his first start, especially when you consider that he had no pre-season with us."
Worcester head coach Richard Hill:
"The players are hugely disappointed because they felt Barritt hadn't made the line and wanted the referee to at least consult the television match official. But you play to the whistle and you get on with it.
"But for that we could have taken home a losing bonus point. But I was very pleased with our defence, and had we just managed the final pass on occasions we could have put more points on the board.
"If you don't look like scoring then you become concerned. But we are creating chances and you know that sooner rather than later you will begin taking them."
