Johnston has been at the Memorial Stadium for two seasons

Bristol hooker Ross Johnston and number eight Dan Montagu have signed new deals to stay on at the Memorial Stadium.

Johnston, 25, joined from Cardiff Blues in 2009 and has made 41 appearances for the club, scoring nine tries.

Montagu, 28, moved to the Championship side at the same time from Nottingham and has scored seven tries in 55 games.

Chief executive Steve Gorvett said: "Both players are very hard-working, honest individuals who lead by example both on and off the field."
