Worcester Warriors lock Greg Rawlinson will leave the club at the end of the season to return to New Zealand.

The 32-year-old former All Black, who arrived at Sixways from Auckland Blues in 2007, has made 94 appearances.

Head coach Richard Hill told the club website: "He will leave a big hole in the squad and we wish him every success after this season."

Rawlinson added: "My focus is now on the rest of the season and doing all I can to help the club win promotion."

The Durban-born lock could not prevent Worcester getting relegated from the Premiership last season.

But, after helping Warriors win the league stage of the Championship, he is confident that they can finish the job off and secure their place back in the top flight through the play-offs.

"It has been a couple of tough years but, with the way the guys are working now, and the systems we have in place, I know that if we play to our potential we can gain promotion back to the Premiership," said Rawlinson.

"I have always had a great relationship with the fans who have backed me since my arrivals in 2007.

"Playing in front of a packed Sixways will be a special memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life."
