Coventry have escaped punishment after one of their fans attempted to hit referee Luke Pearce after their 28-25 defeat by Moseley on Friday. Rugby Football Union disciplinary officer Jeff Blackett was satisfied that Coventry had "acted appropriately" to protect the officials. Cov have launched a search for the culprit, promising to ban him from Butts Park Arena if he is found. The incident happened in the tunnel area after the Championship defeat.
