Tom Voyce beats a Bristol tackle at Adams Park

Wasps won their eighth game in a row at Adams Park and ensured Bristol remained winless on the road this season.

Danny Cipriani gave the hosts the lead with an early penalty before David Lemi responded with an unconverted try.

Wasps regained the lead through the boot of Cipriani, before Lee Robinson hit back with a try before the break.

However, Lachlan Mitchell and Charlie Beech crossed for Wasps after the restart and a late converted try from Robinson was too little for Bristol.

Cipriani was replaced at half-time by Dave Walder, having aggravated a long-standing ankle problem.

Wasps coach Shaun Edwards:
"I was disappointed with the tackling of the backs in the first half, but the forwards tackled manfully.

"We had some words at half-time and the second half was more of what we expect from people wearing that Wasps shirt.

"But they need a break, some have been playing every week and it was a tired performance from players who haven't had a rest because of the internationals."

Bristol coach Paul Hull:
"It's been like a stuck record over the last four or five weeks. We are improving our game-plan, but our second-half performances let us down.

"The players will stay tight regardless of what happens this season. I'm just disappointed we didn't get four points.

"The players are working right to the end and that's the foundation for next year, whatever league we're in."
