Nicky Robinson dives over under the posts in Cardiff Blues' 37-24 win over Gloucester
Cardiff Blues ran in four tries as they lit up the Millennium Stadium

The best match over the weekend in the Heineken Cup was Cardiff's 37-24 win over Gloucester at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday - it was a beautiful game to watch.

I don't think either team will be happy with their defence but, in terms of excitement and watchability, the Pool Six encounter was great.

You have to say so far so good for Cardiff. They have scored a massive amount of points in two games and beating Gloucester is a great feather in their cap.

Munster have a great pedigree in this competition, and they proved at the weekend that they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

The champions headed home with a 24-16 victory over Sale and they will be a team nobody wants to draw come the knockout stages.

I think Sale got taught a real lesson. They may have a good squad but they have found out first-hand just what it is going to take to be successful.

In order to progress in this tournament you need to win big games away from home, which Munster seem to do year after year.

It is a really tight group and the win puts Munster in a very good position, but the group is far from over - there are still four more games to come.

One thing I don't understand is why Sale are starting with Richard Wigglesworth at fly-half, with Charlie Hodgson on the bench.

Hodgson is a good attacking fly-half and I have to say I really don't get Wigglesworth at 10.

606: DEBATE

Having said that, make no mistake; Hodgson's confidence was dented massively on the summer tour to New Zealand.

The only way he is going to regain his form and confidence is by playing unbelievable rugby and I don't think we've seen that yet.

The individual performance of the week came in this group in the form of powerhouse Clermont Auvergne winger Napolioni Nalaga.

The 22-year-old Fijian scored two tries in the French side's 24-19 win away to Montauban - he looks awesome.

Edinburgh did well to earn a first Scottish win in France by beating Castres, but it was not a huge surprise to see Leinster beat Wasps, although I expected it to be closer.

Wasps played badly. They didn't make too many errors but they are only playing to their potential in patches and that is not good enough.

They don't seem to be able to put the opposition under pressure for sustained periods.

On Saturday, too often the likes of James Haskell were standing off and taking possession that should have gone to Danny Cipriani.

Forwards were taking the ball into contact on their own and Wasps then struggle to get the ball back because the ball carrier hasn't got any support.

In Pool Three Leicester's big win at Treviso was to be expected and although the Ospreys beat Perpignan it was a pretty boring game.

The Ospreys coughed and spluttered and people aren't going to be frightened by them.

Clermont winger Napolioni Nalaga is an awesome sight in full flight

There was too much kicking and if you do that you are basically saying 'we have run of ideas'.

The Ospreys are going to be slated, and deservedly so, if they don't play an all-court game because they have got the players to do it.

They needed to win having lost they week before and I think they felt the pressure.

Hopefully the win will settle them down and they can go out and play some rugby - they are a five-star team but at the moment they are not performing.

I don't know why but they are bottling it a bit.

Both Pool Four matches went as expected, with home wins for Stade Francais and Harlequins over the Scarlets and Ulster respectively, but I still think the French side are flattering to deceive - I just don't seem them as a threat.

They are powerful but I just don't see anything magical happening, even with Argentina number 10 Juan Martin Hernandez at fly-half, although I have to say I am really looking forward to seeing former Australia rugby league international Mark Gasnier play.

They are a threat because of the size of their squad but they don't inspire me - I just wish they would play better rugby.

Bonus points are likely to be crucial in Pool Five and although Newport Gwent Dragons made it very difficult for Bath you expect these teams to raise the bar and play as well as they can every time.

Bath just didn't get any momentum going and could regret not getting a bonus point.

In the other match Toulouse always believed they were going to win away to Glasgow and cantered through the game.

The Heineken Cup takes a break now until early December as the EDF Energy Cup takes centre stage and I hope you'll join us on BBC One on Saturday as Cardiff Blues host Leicester.
