Coventry have named Phil Maynard as their new director of rugby.

Maynard, who previously coached Worcester and local rivals Pertemps Bees, has signed a two-year deal at the Butts Park Arena.

Coventry chairman Andrew Green said: "People with track records have certain skills. Let results do the talking.

"I feel he can benefit the club," he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "I'd ask the fans to come and meet Phil and give him the benefit of the doubt."
