Cons: Crichton 2
Pens: Crichton 2

Bristol (5) 5
Try: T Arscott

Worcester secured their first Premiership win of the season as they came from behind to beat Bristol.

Tom Arscott's 12th-minute try gave Bristol the lead, and although Loki Crichton landed a penalty for Worcester the visitors led 5-3 at the break.

The hosts went in front on 53 minutes through Pat Sanderson's converted try.

And they wrapped up an important victory as ex-All Blacks lock Greg Rawlinson and Dale Rasmussen both went over in the final quarter.

  • Worcester boss Mike Ruddock:
"The players are a good bunch and we have been unlucky.

"We were powerful today and we looked capable of scoring tries so we are hoping this is a turning point although we are not getting carried away.

"There have been a lot of changes and it's taken us a while to bed those guys in."

  • Bristol boss Richard Hill:

"Unfortunately, we didn't turn up today and Worcester did. We were just poor. We cannot produce the big ones week in and week out and we are suffering so badly with injuries at the moment. Today, we picked up three.

"So we are on our backsides at the moment and the three-week break during the Six Nations cannot come soon enough."

  • Hill on England hooker Mark Regan:
"I have not asked the physios what his problem is yet but it looked like a neck or head. He's moping about in the dressing room at the moment.

"He would not have come off if he was not 100% so it depends on how he reacts now (on his condition with England). It's not what he would have wanted next week."

Worcester: Delport, Gear, Rasmussen, Tuitupou, Benjamin, Crichton, M Powell, Morris, Lutui, Tuamoepeau, Rawlinson, Gillies, Hickey, Sanderson, Horsman.
Replacements: Black, Mullan, Bowley, Talei, R Powell, Brown, Pennell.
