Wasps won their first Premiership game of the season to move off the foot of the table on Sunday.
Tries from George Skivington and Daniel Cipriani helped Wasps into a 15-3 lead but two Eoghan Hickey penalties trimmed the gap to six points at the break.
Tom Voyce scored a converted try two minutes after the re-start before Mark van Gisbergen's penalty made it 25-9.
Delon Armitage crossed for the Exiles but Wasps had the last word through Van Gisbergen's third penalty.
Wasps director of rugby Ian McGeechan "Overall I felt the power to get that result was in our hands, which was nice to feel again.
"Our execution could have been better in places but there were a lot of good things today.
"We didn't build as well as we could, but overall I thought we played well and consistently."
