Farrell sports the number 12 shirt against Leicester A on Monday |
Andy Farrell says he needs time to figure out which is his best position. The rugby league convert was originally signed by Saracens and the Rugby Football Union as a flanker but England now want to see him at inside centre.
The 31-year-old played at number 12 for the first time, and kicked 18 points, as Saracens A defeated Leicester A 38-28 on Monday night.
"In a month's time I will have more of an opinion on positions," Farrell told Radio Five Live.
Farrell says he relished his experience in the midfield, adding: "I got my hands on the ball a bit more so I enjoyed it.

"I started at inside centre but I was there for only 30 minutes as our fly-half had to go off.
"I kicked 18 points but I missed one and that is the one I have been thinking about.
"I can't say where I would like to play after just one 30-minute A-team game.
"To be honest I am just glad to be healthy and playing again."
The former Great Britain rugby league skipper made his high-profile switch from Wigan 18 months ago.
However, he only made his union bow in an A-team game in September after suffering a dreadful time with injuries.
His move was part funded by the RFU as they looked to the World Cup next year and debate has raged since about where he should play.
It was envisaged that Farrell would play at blind-side flanker but after discussions with the RFU, Sarries have now agreed to try him out in midfield.
Farrell has only been used as a number six in his three first-team outings so far which have included one start.
