Newcastle lock Jason Oakes has been given a three-week ban by the Rugby Football Union after pleading guilty to a stamp on Wasps' Lawrence Dallaglio. Oakes was sin-binned by referee Tony Spreadbury but the incident was referred to the RFU disciplinary panel. The 29-year-old was initially banned by his club for a week. He will miss the Falcons' European Challenge Cup trip to Brive and their Premiership clash with league leaders Bristol.
