Live on BBC Five Live and the BBC Sport websiteLeicester captain Martin Corry says his side will be in top form in Saturday's Premiership final against Sale.
Last season a tired Tigers outfit was hammered 39-14 by Wasps.
England captain Corry said: "We were a spent force going into the final last year, both physically and mentally. We have learned lessons from it.
"You can't maintain a physical peak for 10 months. It's an impossibility and you have to manage things the best way you can."
Corry said coach Pat Howard had timed the Tigers' end-of-season assault to perfection this year.
Howard came under fire when Leicester slipped out of the top four after losing at Newcastle in February.
But they go into the final on the back of seven wins in a row in the Premiership.
"Pat's done a fantastic job to manage the squad and get it to this stage of the season in this frame of mind," said Corry.
"Pat has been man enough to believe what he is doing is right and we have done well to turn things round.
"But getting to the final doesn't justify anything. It's all about winning trophies."
