French number eight Sebastien Chabal has signed a new three-year deal with Sale that will keep him at the club until 2009. The 28-year-old has become an integral member of the Sharks side since joining from Bourgoin in 2004.
""Seabass" has already become a legend at the club," said Sale owner Brian Kennedy. "He is a real talisman and respected by everyone here."
The powerful forward made his France debut in 2000 and has won 24 caps.
