Bath sailed into the semi-finals of the Powergen Cup with a 21-12 victory over west country rivals Gloucester. Olly Barkley was the star of the show, scoring 13 points with a try, two penalties and a conversion at the Recreation Ground.
Winger Joe Maddock scored the home side's other try in the first half.
Despite their efforts, Gloucester could not find a way through Bath's solid defence and all 12 of their points came from the boot of Ludovic Mercier.
Bath acting coach Michael Foley:
"Our back three worked extremely well in attack and defence.
"We performed a lot better and I thought the backs played well all game - they functioned well as a unit."
Gloucester head coach Dean Ryan:
"It isn't easy to win away, especially in a pool when two of your three games are away from home.
"It is a big ask to win away - it was a tough challenge - but I am not moaning about it."
