Robbie Fleck is currently on his way back from a calf injury |
South Africa international Robbie Fleck has signed a new two-year deal with Zurich Premiership club Bath. The 29-year-old centre will now remain at the Recreation Ground until the end of the 2006-2007 season.
"I am on my way back, feeling good and have the opportunity to prove I have a big part to play," Fleck said.
Bath director of rugby Jack Rowell said: "We have only seen his undoubted class in flashes this season, but his international ability will be key."
Springbok centre Fleck was delighted to have secured his future with Bath.
"I feel that this club is going places and that particular feeling is conveyed throughout what is a very determined and ambitious squad of players," Fleck added.
"The past couple of years have been a rebuilding process for the club and we were lucky enough to get to the Zurich Premiership final last season, which was a great experience," he added.
Bath are currently fourth in the table.
