McRae suffered the knee injury against Harlequins |
Gloucester stand-off Duncan McRae has returned to action after two months out with a knee injury. The 30-year-old Australian completed 65 minutes of the Zurich A League win over Saracens at Kingsholm on Monday night.
His return will be a major boost to the club as they prepare for their final three league games of the season.
"I'm just glad everything is back to normal. It's the biggest mental boost I could have had," McRae told the club's official website.
"I'm glad to get my head right and back on the field.
"Hopefully my name is now in the hat for the next few games, but there are guys ahead of me who deserve a chance. First things first, I'm just glad to be back."
McRae has been dogged by injuries in his second season with the club.
He had played just four matches following a knee operation before suffering this latest injury against Harlequins at the start of February.
McRae was forced off during the second half and an MRI scan has revealed bruising of the bone around the knee.
Last year he missed several weeks after sustaining soft tissue damage to his neck.
