Derby clash in Powergen Cup semis
Bath v Gloucester
Bath face Gloucester for a place in the final
Gloucester will have home advantage for their Powergen Cup semi-final against Bath, with Leeds at home in the other semi-final against London Irish.

The matches will be played on Sunday, 6 March, with both shown live on BBC Two.

Leeds will kick off against the Exiles at Headingley at 1215 GMT, with the Gloucester-Bath to follow at 1415.

Rugby Football Union Operations Director Terry Burwell said: "I am sure everyone is looking forward to a great Sunday of Powergen Cup rugby."

Gloucester scrum-half Andy Gomarsall believed it was inevitable his side would face their West Country rivals.

"I knew this was going to happen. We've had one derby against Bristol so I thought another was on the cards," he told BBC Radio Five Live.

Bath head coach John Connolly regarded Gloucester as the toughest of the sides left.

"A West Country derby means a lot to us and Gloucester are the team to beat of the four sides," he said.

Hopefully we can get in the final again
London Irish star Justin Bishop

"It would be great to win something this season - trophies and silverware are what rugby's about - and it's definitely something for us to focus on now.

"There are two ways to get into Europe and this is one of them."

Leeds assistant coach Jon Callard said: "Whoever you're playing at this stage it's going to be a difficult game.

"London Irish have the benefit of having done well two years ago, while we'll want to go one better after last year when we went out to Sale in the semi-finals."

London Irish winger Justin Bishop said he was looking forward to the Cup clash against Leeds.

"This is a one-off game and hopefully we can get in the final again. That would be massive for our club," he told the BBC.

"All the teams left in the draw are quite similar at the moment so we weren't really bothered who we got."

London Irish became the final side to reach the last four when they won 21-15 at Saracens on Sunday thanks to seven penalties from Mark Mapletoft.

Gloucester beat local rivals Bristol 21-0 while Bath edged a thriller at Sale Sharks 24-23 and Leeds defeated Northampton 24-19.
