Tindall has not played for two months |
Bath centre Mike Tindall has been declared fit to face Wasps in Saturday's Zurich Premiership final. The England World Cup winner has not played for almost two months, initially because of a stomach muscle injury, and then a hamstring problem.
But along with Matt Perry and Mike Catt he has been given the all-clear.
"Mike will be involved," said Bath coach John Connolly. "He has not played since we beat Sale in April, but I am sure he will be fine for Saturday."
Bath will be without prop David Flatman, who has an Achilles tendon injury, with either David Barnes or Matt Stevens starting in his place at loosehead.
Another player likely to miss out is Irish international Kevin Maggs, who could now be released for a behind-closed-doors Ireland training game later this week, ahead of next month's South Africa tour.
Catt and England fly-half Olly Barkley are both likely to have to settle for a place on the bench.
Since finishing the regular season by thumping Gloucester on 8 May, Bath have held a week's training camp in Newbury, which included a 69-10 win over the local National Division Two side.
"It was really beneficial as we were away from Bath and had a tour mentality," said Alex Crockett, in contention for one of the centre berths.
"The run out against Newbury served a purpose and we were pleased to get some competitive game time ahead of the final."
