Howley pounced for a last-gasp try to beat Toulouse
Rob Howley, whose last-minute try secured the Heineken Cup for Wasps on Sunday, wants to extend his contract with the European champions.

He needs a wrist operation this summer and will be out for several months.

But Howley has scotched retirement rumours and is hoping to sign a 12-month extension to his current deal, which ends next year.

"You are a long time retired so hopefully within the next six months I will sign a new contract," he said.
