Springbok prop Christo Bezuidenhout said he was relishing the season ahead with Gloucester after arriving at Kingsholm and meeting his team-mates. Bezuidenhout, signed on a one-year deal, is particularly keen to link up with international foe Phil Vickery.
The South African begins training on Wednesday and is available for the west country derby against Bath on Saturday.
"There's a good feeling about the place. The team is playing very well with four wins from four," he said.
The prop was part of the Springbok 2003 World Cup squad in Australia and has been an ever-present in the Bulls' Super 12 campaign this year.
He arrived in England after completing his Currie Cup commitments.
The last time Bezuidenhout came face-to-face with Vickery was in the pool stages of the World Cup, when England beat South Africa 25-6.
"I met up with everyone, including Phil Vickery, this morning, which was good, as the last time we met was in the World Cup last year," he said.
"I'm looking forward to playing on his side, rather than against him."
