Wasps eye Oxford move
Oxford United's Kassam Stadium
Kassam Stadium is a possible venue for Wasps
Wasps could be about to solve their ground-sharing problems with a move to Oxford.

The Londoners are holding talks with Oxford United about the possibility of playing games at the Kassam Stadium.

The stadium hosted the recent Parker Pen Shield semi-final between London Irish and Pontypridd and is also the venue for this month's final.

The London club are without a home next season after current landlords Queens Park Rangers agreed to share their Loftus Road home with Fulham Football Club.

Agreement

They have been in talks with Wycombe Wanderers about a possible move to Adams Park.

Although there is a general agreement, nothing formal is in place.

Wasps have also held talks with Harlequins to share the Stoop Memorial Ground.

Club director Charles Levison said that Oxford has now emerged a potential new home for Wasps.

"I can confirm that we have been in discussions with Oxford. We are pursuing a ground and Oxford is one we are looking at."

Oxford United chairman Firoz Kassam is anxious to bring top flight rugby to the city.
