Worcester coach Richard Hill says he intends his team to "batter" promotion rivals Bedford in their British and Irish Cup semi-final on Saturday.

The teams clash at Goldington Road in the cup and then meet again eight days later in a Championship play-off semi-final at Sixways.

"We are going to go and try to batter the life out of them," said Hill.

"The task of the team going down there will be to bruise Bedford, and then win the game."

Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester, Hill added: "I am pleased Bedford got through as in our plans we wanted to start with 15 against Bristol and then field a different 15 at Bedford.

"And when that 15 has softened them up down there we will bring them back to Sixways and see what's what. There will be no love lost."

There will be full commentary on Bedford Blues against Worcester Warriors in the British and Irish Cup semi-final on Saturday, 23 April on BBC Hereford and Worcester on 104 fm and online at bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester.
