Kvesic featured in the Six Nations for England Under-20s |
Worcester Warriors back-row forward Matt Kvesic has signed a deal extension at Sixways. The 18-year-old England Under-20s star was under contract for next season but has now agreed beyond that period. "I'd been waiting throughout the Six Nations campaign with England Under-20s to come back and sign up," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "Next year will be a big year as I look to keep getting starts, hopefully that will be in the Premiership." The flanker became the youngest ever Warrior when he featured against Scarlets in the LV=Cup in November 2009. A year later he celebrated his Championship debut by grabbing two tries against Esher. Kvesic has now scored five tries in 11 senior appearances, including a try against Nottingham in their last outing in the Championship play-offs. | Matt is a very mature player with an old head on young shoulders. Warriors head coach Richard Hill added: "We have been delighted with Matt's continued outstanding progress for both Warriors and away with England Under-20s in the Six Nations. "In Matt and Jake Abbott we have two young and talented open side flankers who are keen to develop and play a big part in the coming years at Worcester Warriors. "Matt is a very mature player with an old head on young shoulders. "He has a good rugby brain and that is testament to the coaching he has been given throughout his young career."
