England boss Johnson says St Edward's have first-rate facilities |
St Edward's school in Oxford will host a series of training sessions for the England rugby squad ahead of their Six Nations game with Scotland on 13 March. St Edward's, who boast ex-England player James Forrester as a former student, have previously held training sessions for the England Under-16s. England boss Martin Johnson said in a school statement: "It's great to have St Edward's first-rate facilities. "A change of scenery is important and Oxford and St Edward's provide that." St Edward's has strong ties to the England international rugby scene, with their master in charge of rugby, Mark Hanslip, the current England Under-16 A team coach. "We have a long tradition of excellence in rugby and so are delighted to welcome the squad to the school," said warden at St Edward's, Andrew Trotman.
