Miserable conditions ensured a stop-start game
Newcastle Falcons needed two late tries to beat Exeter Chiefs and set up a clash away to Harlequins in the LV= Cup semi-finals. The Chiefs led 3-0 at the break thanks to Gareth Steenson's penalty. Jimmy Gopperth got Falcons level with 10 minutes remaining with a penalty and Alex Tait surged over for a try, with Gopperth scoring the conversion. In the final minute, Luke Eves sealed it by finishing off a flowing 60-metre move, with Gopperth again converting. Falcons' semi-final against Quins will take place at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday, 11 March.
