Exeter's Dave Ewers dives over to score his side's second try
Exeter ran in five tries as they thrashed Leicester in the LV= Cup.
The Chiefs had a bonus point wrapped up by the break as Chad Slade, Dave Ewers, Neil Clark and Haydn Thomas went over, Gareth Steenson converting all four.
Centre Dan Hipkiss marked his return from injury by getting Leicester on the scoreboard early in the second half.
But any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Ben Moon touched down, Steenson again adding the extras, before Boris Stankovich grabbed a late consolation.
Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter: "We are very aware it wasn't a Leicester first team, but it wasn't an Exeter first team either.
"We approached the game with a real positive attitude right from he first whistle.
"We asked the guys for a performance full of energy and attitude, and that's what we got for the full 80 minutes."
Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: "We were a little under-power physically in comparison with them so we spent the whole of the first half on the back foot defending - which we did pretty well to be fair - and it was very hard work for us.
"In the second half we regrouped pretty well and the lads had a crack and we scored two tries so it was a lot more positive.
"There were lots of young guys out there and some senior guys coming back from injury.
"This was the perfect springboard for us to see where guys are physically and mentally and to see how much bottle they have really - and some guys came through pretty well."
