Luke Fisher saw his last chance of BUCS Championship success disappear as Exeter beat Hartpury 22-15 in the Knockout Men's Trophy quarter-finals.

Fisher was hoping to crown his last year at the Hartbury College senior academy by securing the title.

But there was better news for fellow Jersey Academy products Joe Ellyat and Tom Ellis, whose Bath seconds side are through to the quarter-final stage.

They play favourites UWIC seconds after a walkover in the third round.
